Louisville's East End includes everything from its inner-most area of St. Matthews which is a few miles from downtown Louisville, to the very eastern edge of Jefferson including the city of Prospect, to the Summit, to the the cities of Middletown and Jeffersontown!  A large, loosely defined area of Jefferson County, anyone in Louisville knows what you are talking about when you say "The East End".  Generally speaking, it is an affluent area that is family-oriented with convenient shopping and many excellent restaurants.
